Storage Terms and Conditions of Use
PLEASE READ THIS END-USER LICENCE AGREEMENT CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS SOFTWARE.
1. Application Publisher
The Storage software is published by Infoduo, a company based in France.
Any enquiries regarding these Terms and Conditions may be addressed to Infoduo using the contact details provided on the official website.
2. Purpose
The purpose of these Terms and Conditions of Use (T&Cs) is to set out the terms and conditions governing the use of the Storage software (hereinafter ‘the Software’).
By installing and using Storage, the user acknowledges that they have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions without reservation.
3. Licence and Term
The Software is provided under an annual licence.
The licence is personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable. It is granted to a single natural or legal person for their own use.
Depending on the subscription plan chosen, the licence authorises the installation and use of the Software on a limited number of devices belonging to the same user:
• One Licence: 1 device
• Pro Licence: up to 2 devices
• Pro+ Licence: up to 3 devices
Any use of the Software by more than one person requires the purchase of a number of licences corresponding to the number of users.
Activation of the Software requires the entry of a licence key and may involve connecting to an activation server to verify compliance with the terms of use.
Given its nature (software), the right of withdrawal provided for in relation to distance selling cannot be exercised, in accordance with the provisions of Articles L 121-20-2 et seq. of the Consumer Code. The purchase of a licence is firm and final and shall not give rise to any exchange or refund.
The subscription includes minor and major updates as well as technical support provided by Infoduo throughout the licence’s term of validity.
Any use outside this framework (sharing of the licence key, lending, duplication, use on more devices than authorised, or use by several people with a single licence) is strictly prohibited.
4. Features and Updates
The Software offers electronic document management (EDM) features, including filing, searching, OCR, editing and other organisational tools.
Infoduo reserves the right to update the Software, in particular by adding, modifying or removing features, in order to improve the service.
5. Confidentiality and data protection
Storage stores documents and information in user-defined spaces.
Infoduo does not pass on or resell data to third parties.
The user remains solely responsible for the confidentiality of the stored information and for managing access to it.
5.1. Use of Storage AI
The Software includes an artificial intelligence-based assistance module, Storage AI.
• Local engine: Storage AI incorporates its own AI engine that operates exclusively locally on the user’s device. No data is transmitted to Infoduo or any third party in this mode.
• External engine (ChatGPT): when the user utilises the text or table generation functions in Storage IA, these are powered by the ChatGPT engine. In this case, only the prompt entered by the user is transmitted to the OpenAI service. No documents, OCR content or data stored in Storage are sent. Use of this engine is subject to a limited quota, which may vary depending on the subscription plan and technical conditions. • Use relating to Giulia, Storage’s AI assistant: questions asked of Giulia may be shared with Storage support for the sole purpose of improving the service and the assistant’s learning. No other data is sent.
6. Liability
Infoduo makes every effort to ensure the proper functioning of the Software and the security of data.
However, Infoduo shall not be held liable in the event of:
• loss, corruption or destruction of data due to misuse of the Software, a malfunction in external hardware or software, or the user’s failure to back up their data;
• temporary interruptions due to updates, upgrades or maintenance.
The user is solely responsible for the proper management of their backups and their IT environment.
7. Support and updates
Throughout the subscription period, the user is entitled to:
• access to Software updates;
• technical support provided by Infoduo via the channels made available (email, telephone, etc.).
8. Intellectual Property
The Software, its source code, its features, its graphic design and its documentation are protected by intellectual property law.
Any reproduction, distribution, modification or decompilation without Infoduo’s written authorisation is strictly prohibited.
9. Termination
In the event of a breach of these Terms of Use by the user, Infoduo may suspend or terminate the licence without compensation or refund.
The user may terminate their subscription upon expiry of the annual period.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms of Use are governed by French law.
In the event of a dispute, the competent courts shall be those within the jurisdiction of Infoduo’s registered office, unless otherwise provided for by law.
